As Texas proceeds as the first state in The Union to reopen its economy during the SARS-COV-2 pandemic, I wanted to take time to update you about our practice as we continue to monitor the current situation and health guidelines.

Your Spinal Health Matters

As an essential healthcare provider, our primary focus continues: to be OPEN to serve you. Why? Because we know physical therapy and chiropractic adjustments are effective for pain relief and a healthy immune system. The primary driver of your immune system is your nervous system. Chiropractic adjustments stimulate immune cells into action, which in turn boosts your sympathetic system. Staying on track with chiropractic care helps keep the autonomic nervous system in balance.

Your body’s immune response is critical to your ability to fight off infection. And with a virus that we still don’t entirely understand on the loose, now more than ever, the health of your spine is important to your optimal well-being.

Additionally, so many other systems within the body are positively impacted by chiropractic care, including the digestive system, the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, and even the reproductive system.

Working From Home?

Dealing with the coronavirus pandemic may end up creating more pain in your life than just a little inconvenience. In the process of practicing isolation for the sake of avoiding infection, we may find that we’re sacrificing good body movement, stretching, and proper posture. Homeworkers may sacrifice ergonomics as they struggle to adapt to less than ideal working environments, and this, in turn, may exacerbate existing injuries and trouble areas. Being in pain has a detrimental effect on your ability to sleep well, and inadequate sleep depletes your immune system’s health. If you’re experiencing new pain after working from home, please come in for an adjustment. We would also be happy to coach you on how to improve your work-from-home set-up, to help reduce potential complications.

More than anything, I care about my patients’ journey to pain relief and healing. If you are a part of our T98 community, then you are familiar with our core philosophy of health: that spinal health is tied to whole health and a healthy immune system response. We don’t just “crack backs” at T98. We use sound therapies, and seek to improve and preserve the health and longevity of the body in all our care.

If you have put off spinal care, call us. It is past time to get it taken care of.

At-Risk Patients Need Care

Patients with underlying health issues, such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and more, are at higher risk for bacterial and viral infections of all kinds. We know that chiropractic care promotes positive immune function, and in our philosophy, it is a first line of defense in the fight against all dis-ease.  I believe that we have a duty to be there for our patients; to provide such life-affirming services when frankly they need us most.

High Standards For A Safe Environment

One of our founding principles at T98 Chiropractic & Rehab is our commitment to our patients, by empowering our patients to take charge of their health by providing education and by providing the safest and highest quality services, products, and therapy possible.

During this time of uncertainty, the safety of our patients is our highest priority. We are taking extraordinary measures to protect you, your family, and our staff from COVID-19 exposure.

All established CDC guidelines for extra sanitation and social distancing protocols have been implemented and will continue. Sanitation is practiced continuously throughout the day and between patients. We thoroughly wash hands between every patient, sanitize the adjustment table and surfaces, and sanitize door knobs and payment devices consistently throughout the day. We also practice social distancing, appropriately limiting the frequency and number of visitors allowed inside our facility throughout the day.

Precautions

As the state of Texas reopens regular business, public health officials continue to recommend the following steps to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including influenza and COVID-19:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Stay home when you are sick
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and properly dispose of it
  • Practice good hand hygiene by washing your hands often, using either soap and water or alcohol-based hand gel for at least 20 seconds
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces

If you are experiencing symptoms common to influenza or COVID-19, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, please call the office before you leave your home.  If you are having issues that we are not familiar with, please let us know in advance and before you leave your home.

Thank you for trusting T98 Rehab & Chiropractic as your healthcare partner. We are here for you! If you have any questions, please call us at 512.614.2330.

Sincerely,

Dr. Adam Anh Tran, BS, CNIM, DC
